Description
Healing is as old as the Bible because Abraham was the first man to pray for healing. So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children (Genesis
20:17, KJV). Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 1:2, KJV). The plan of God for you among many other things is to live in good health and not to be sick. God wants you whole and well in all areas of your life. The church of old never experienced sickness and any disease. God healed them all and there was none feeble amongthem. He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feebleperson among their tribes (Psalms105:37 (KJV). If in the Old Testament, God’s children encountered His power and divine healing and (they) were made whole, how much more those who live in the New Testament? For if that which is done away wasglorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious (2 Corinthians 3:11 (KJV). God is still healing people today and no matter how big and strange the sickness, it will be destroyed in Jesus mighty name.
God has promised in His word a restoration of healing. In the book of Jeremiah, God promised to restore divine health to His people who were once rebelliousonce they callonHim. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after
(Jeremiah 30:17, KJV). The prophets of old understood and prophesied aboutGod’s healing for humanity. Isaiah prophesied about it. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5, KJV).But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall (Malachi 4:2 (KJV). The prophets of God all spoke about our Lord Jesus Christ who hasnow become our healing andhas borneour sicknesses and diseases on the cross
